Nursing had always been my dream and in 2001 that dream became a reality. My career began in oncology nursing, where I spent over 8 years. Caring for cancer patients enhanced my passion to heal and provided me with fulfillment. However, a few years ago my passion began to change. The years of working with persons suffering from life-changing and often life-ending illnesses opened my eyes to the concepts of prevention and maintenance. Particularly in reguards to skin ailments and cancer. Skin cancer is one of the most prevalent and easily preventable diseases, yet the number of diagnoses continues to rise each year. Most recently this issue hit home as a close family memeber was diagnosed with skin cancer. This got me thinking how I as a nurse could help people appropriately care for their skin, while providing them with pratical prevention strategies. This prompted me to further my education and abilities. I accomplished this by training in Esthetic Nursing and creating Belladerma Inc.

Belladerma Inc. is a local skin care therapy center dedicated to the concepts of treatment, prevention and education, provided by a trained Medical Esthetic Nurse. It is here that people recieve professional, compassionate care to reverse sun-damage, signs of aging and correct imperfections in their skin. My goal is not only to help men and women better care for their skin, but to love it! Good skin care does not stop at soap and sunscreen. At Belladerma we can help give you the tools and advice to help you care for your skin for a lifetime.
